Commercial Insurance Submission Packet Builder.
Choose the business and requested coverage to assemble a starting list of forms and open the relevant submission checklist. Review the list before requesting any documents.
Build a starting checklist
How to use the result.
Start with the insured’s actual operations, not just its trade name. A business may have several activities, such as retail sales and installation work. Choose the closest business guide, then disclose activities that the label does not capture. Use the state where the risk operates; your agency address may be different.
Select only the coverage being requested. The suggestions are a preparation starting point, not a statement that every insurer requires each form. Businessowners, monoline and package workflows may use different applications. A proprietary market application can replace or supplement a standard form when the intended market says so.
Read the class checklist before collecting attachments. It identifies the operating facts that make the packet useful. Explain the difficult part of the account directly: a new operation, a coverage gap, a loss, a contract requirement, a renewal deadline or a change in values. Do not make the reader reconstruct the story from attachments.
Review the suggested documents and remove anything you do not need. The form request screen asks for agency contact details and explicit selection. It accepts no insured uploads. A blank-form request and a completed risk submission are different actions. Use the submission flow when the account is ready for Hedge review.
A practical example.
For a contractor seeking general liability and business auto, the builder suggests applicant information, a general liability section, a business auto section and a vehicle schedule. Those forms do not explain every operation on their own. The contractor checklist can reveal subcontracted work, work at height, project types or driving facts that need a clear narrative. If the business also requests an umbrella, reconcile the underlying policies before asking for the excess layer.
Illustrative preparation example, not an account outcome.
What this check does not establish
The builder does not decide eligibility, assign a carrier or confirm a market route. It does not fetch private underwriting requirements or verify completed applications. The countrywide suggestions do not resolve state-specific applications, notices or disclosures. An insurer may need fewer, different or additional documents. No selection here requests a quote, binds coverage or sends a submission to a market.
Keep the working file under your control.
The checker runs locally in the browser. It does not upload the schedule or send its values to Hedge. Closing or refreshing the page clears the unsaved inputs. Avoid pasting information unrelated to the check, and keep the original application and policy documents as the authoritative source.
Optional usage measurement records the tool action, not the rows, names, addresses, values or results. The check is a preparation aid. It does not create an account, release documents or notify an insurer. When you are ready for an account review, use Hedge’s existing submission process and provide the documents appropriate to that account.
Record your corrections in the source file so the improvement survives outside this page. If a warning cannot be resolved, explain it in the submission narrative. A transparent outstanding question is more useful than an apparently complete schedule based on assumptions. Keep the supporting evidence and the latest version together for subsequent renewals or endorsements.
Move to the right next step.
