How is the appetite organized?
By category first: Property & Casualty, Professional, Management, and Specialty. Each class page shows the published appetite status, strongest starting profile, edge conditions, target lines and limits, placement-review information, and NAICS codes.
Why are some classes shown as Edge?
Because the class may fit but the specific account needs more detail before Hedge can confirm a current route. The page identifies the issues to address with the submission.
My insured NAICS code is not listed. Should I still send it?
Yes. NAICS codes are a discovery aid, not an underwriting decision. Use the operations description and state in the live appetite checker, then let Hedge confirm current fit and route.
What if my class is not in the index?
Use the appetite checker or email submissions@hedgespecialty.com with a short operations description and state. Hedge will confirm whether an adjacent class or approved route exists. Do not treat the index as authorization to send the risk to a market.
